Drift City is an online racing game published by the South Korean team NPluto. The game is known in Asia as Skid Rush, but the name was changed to Drift City for North America. The game is set in the near future, where the world is facing a severe oil shortage. However, a new element called Mittron was discovered in a Pacific island. This new element could fuel cars for longer, and in a cleaner and faster way that normal fuel. Thus, the Island was named Mittron. However, soon after, some unmanned vehicles appeared terrorizing the city. These were called HUVs. The Island decided to hire professional drivers to take down these HUVs and restore control. Of course, you are one of those drivers. This game is really surprising, because you get more than you expect. As in most MMOs, you gain currency and experience by winning races and completing quests. This will help you buy better cars and improvements. As a racing game, there are a lot of races, from team- to single-races. However, the quests in the game are really well done and stick very well to the storyline. Maybe you will find yourself completing missions and taking down HUVs instead of racing. The game features nice cell-shaded graphics that run really smooth. In fact, the whole game is really smooth, no lag or other performance problems. In the end, this is an MMO that will attract all those car-junkies out there, though it is very recommendable for everyone.
